Good lads, I use the larvaz for trout fishing here in wa when they shut down. Sometimes my mates come with just spinners and don’t catch anything during summer, but of course I lend them one. 🤙

wow I never usually see bluespots
Hey mate, I got the 56mm nightmare switchblade. Is it effective for bream/flatties in an estuary? I've found South Aussie waters to be very challenging.
Hey @bernieadam1985, hope all's well and you're finding a fish. The 56mm is a favourite for fishing deep schooled fish in impoundments and also deeper structure, bait and fish in the salt. It would be ideal for fishing deeper channel edges and drop offs and will catch mulloway, flathead and a wide variety of species. When targeting bream and flathead in shallower water (less than 3m) I would probably change to one of the two smaller sizes and fish it along the drop offs for flathead and over the weed and rubble for bream. If it is weedy and snaggy you can wind the Switchblade slowly over the top of the structure and if you find sandy patches in the weed or a clean weed edge then this can be deadly for hopping the blade on the bottom. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
What colour fryZ have been best for vic bream?
Hey @sldrose, Hope all's well and you're finding a fish. Winter normally brings with it clearer water, which would make the Smelt colour and absolute go-to in the Shad FryZ. Another favourite in all water conditions has been the Bumblebee colour. I generally fish them on a TT HeadlockZ Finesse Size 2 jighead or HeadlockZ HD Size 4 jighead. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
Awesome! Creator that shows the hook on and the fish at the end! ❤
where is that?
Hey @garybrownfishing8574, the bridge pictured is the iconic Story Bridge, located in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. Many Australian cities are built around rivers that produce some great fishing for anglers both land-based and on the water. We hope you're getting stuck into a few. Cheers, Justin
why you use pro-cure sardine between bream like crabs and shrimps ? it is more powerful for them ? thanks .
Hey @mshary91, hope all's well and you're finding a fish. Pro-Cure have a stack of flavours available and Shrimp or Blue Crab would also be effective on the bream. We were fishing with ZMan Slim SwimZ, a small baitfish profile, and winding it on a slow retrieve, so we added Sardine / Pilchard scent as an added attraction. If I was fishing slower with ZMan 2.5" PrawnZ, then I generally add a Saltwater Yabby / Nipper or Shrimp is another effective option. Any Pro-Cure scent flavour is better than none as it adds real ground bait, along with powerful amino acids, bite stimulants and UV enhancements, to attract fish, trigger strikes and encourage the fish to hold on longer, giving you more time to set the hook. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
TT rules

Where abouts sunny coast is this
Hey @thebayslayer1, these guys pop up throughout Moreton Bay and right along the Sunshine Coast. Launched out of Mooloolaba for this session. We just cruise close to the shore one way along the coast and back a little wider, keeping an eye out for the 3 B's, bust ups, birds and bait. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
Great session guys, love your tips. What colour vibes can you suggest for brackish water? South west Victoria based.
Hey @davidlowe1975, glad you enjoyed the vid and thanks for the kind words. A favourite for me when fishing brackish water is gold colours as they catch the light, without being too flashy, along with browns and greens. They are a dynamite presentation for targeting bass, estuary perch, golden perch and redfin, as well as all of the bread and butter saltwater species. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
How longs ya leader
Hey @warrenbrown511, Andrew runs about a rod length of leader for most species, including mangrove jack. (Approx. 7'/ 2.1m). All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
this video helped me catch multiple fish today. thank you. my local lake is rimmed the full way around with lily pads and makes it hard to get those big bass. and they LOVE hiding there.
Hey @TrofiCuh, stoked that the video helped and you got stuck into a few! Your comment has made our day and that's why we make these videos. Sending big fish vibes. Cheers, Justin
When I do the twitching retrieve my hand does not go with the twitch movement. any tips?
Hey @fish4life.877, Hope you're finding a few fish. Try pointing the rod out straight and then lifting the rod up through a 45 degree arc in 4 steps, with your wrist also lifting the rod up at each step. So it's like stop motion photography. The arm moves up a little as the wrist also twitches the rod tip up a little and this continues with each step. The lifting is drawing the plastic along, while the twitch with each step of the lift is adding additional movement that seems to get the bites. You can try this close to the boat or shore also to see how the plastic reacts in the water, attempting to provide maximum action and movement, without ripping the plastic out of the strike zone. Hope this helps. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
Great video guys thankyou 👍🎣
@lesfredericks4232, Thanks for the positive comment and all the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin

Great video just getting into it now . Do you use a snap swivel on the jig spinner or do you tie directly ,like a loop knot or uni knot thanks
Hey @eurekagold, awesome to hear you are getting into it and the Jig Spinner is a deadly addition to your soft plastic. Use the clip section to attach to your jighead, the blade runs at the top and you attach your line to the circle in the wire, where it meets at the 90 degree bend (the circle in the middle of the wire boomerang). You can simply tie directly onto this point and the circle in the wire ensures that the line cannot slide along the wire. I just use a locked blood knot to attach the leader and you're ready to fish. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
@@tackletacticstv7687 thanks Justin I’ll do that. it’s good to change the plastics without cutting line and re tying too
@@eurekagold good call. Easy to rotate between jighead weights, hook sizes and plastics as required. fish on! Cheers, Justin
That’s sick
Good fun
Isn’t it hard to fish in wintet
Hey @fish4life.877, Hope all's well and you're finding a fish. Seasonal fishing will vary based on where you are in the world. Australia's east coast often fishes well in winter, with an influx of bait and a mix of species. Where I am based in South East Queensland, winter often bring with it more stables weather conditions, an influx of bait and some great fishing. Depending on where you are based it's worth doing some research in terms of how your target species changes in winter, where in the systems they will be located and what techniques they will respond to. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
Nice one Paul.
Hi Justin, what is the make and model of the boat you are using? Thanks
Hey @thedon9670, It was time to retire the old Quintrex 435 Hornet Trophy and 35hp motor after 23 years and we needed something a little bigger, so opted for a Quintrex 481 Hornet Pro, with a 115hp Yamaha, dropped a couple of sounders on and moved the electric motor batteries to the back to balance it up better. I wouldn't recommend it as an offshore boat, but definitely a great platform for inshore waters, rivers and impoundments, which is my favourite fishing. You just need to have a mate with an offshore rig as well ;). All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
Always looks so easy when you guys do it. When fishing a mangrove edge/flat like in the video for bream etc, should I let the boat drift with the current and cast ahead of the drift or use the electric to push into the current and bring the lure back with the current? I have no trouble catching flatties but can't get into any bream Cheers for the help
Hey @zac2817, I will start a cast distance from the mangroves and am happy to drift, casting ahead of the drift, if the drift is tracking pretty straight along the mangroves. If there is a breeze that messes with the drift angle then working along the mangroves with the electric is a great option, casting ahead of the direction of travel and working the lure back with the flow. Bream can spook easy, so I think a long cast is key, spray your casts around the boat a bit, keep an eye out for key structure, sand patches in the weed or bait and cast to these. Another key is to mix up the retrieve... some days the bream want the presentation moving pretty quick, while other days they want it slower or with pauses. Once you start to catch a few it will come together and you will catch more and more. Nice work on the flatties too. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
You should make a video on how to catch big flattys 👍
Hey @user-dr6rx3nj7x, hope you're finding a few. Sounds good... tips for targeting big flathead. Fish on! Cheers, Justin
